20th Anniversary A cappella Night
The Pentucket Arts Foundation’s annual celebration of song features the Northeastern Nor’Easters as the headliner performers, with high school a cappella groups from Amesbury, Hamilton-Wenham, and Pentucket as opening acts. Always an anchor of the non-profit organization’s season, A cappella Night is a fills the souls of the young and the young at heart with joy and inspiration. It begins with a singing workshop in the afternoon led by the premiere collegiate group for the high schoolers; followed by a toe tapping, finger snapping performance for the whole community in the evening.
The show concludes with all performers coming together on stage to masterly perform a song learned during the afternoon workshop.
Named champions of the National A cappella Convention in 2019 and of the International Championship of Collegiate A cappella in 2013 and 2017, the Nor’easters are critically acclaimed as one of the world’s premier co-ed A cappella groups. In 2013, they performed for President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama at the White House Christmas Gala. The group is increasingly being recognized as a recording powerhouses, earning the Contemporary A cappella Recording Award for Best Mixed Collegiate Album three times.
Tix are $10 on sale at www.pentucketarts.org until noon on Saturday, Dec. 19.
