Miniature Nutcracker
Miniature Nutcracker
Welcome the holidays with Arpeggione’s own miniature rendering of Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker! Our vision is both nostalgic and new, combining your favorite music with homemade Nutcracker-inspired sweets and beverages and readings from the E.T.A. Hoffman classic. Experience the magic of the season as one might have over a century ago, playing music and reading aloud with family and friends. Pull up a chair around the fire and feel like you’ve stepped into a very special, welcoming, and timeless home. Miniature Nutcracker will be performed by Andrea LeBlanc, flute; Thomas Carroll, clarinet; Anna Griffis, violin; Anna Seda, cello; and April Sun, piano. Selections from Tchaikovsky’s score have been arranged for the ensemble by Arpeggione’s in-house orchestrator, Thomas Carroll. Arpeggione Ensemble is known for its joyful, accessible, immersive chamber music performances. Arpeggione is a nonprofit organization that performs a full season of concerts on the North Shore, with outreach programs that bring the same world-class programming to underserved audiences. Arpeggione creates community through shared artistic experiences and brings beloved masterpieces out of the concert hall to those who would not normally be able to experience them live.
