Reggie Harris and Pat Wictor at Old Sloop Presents
Good friends and frequent collaborators Reggie Harris and Pat Wictor will return to the Old Sloop Presents performing arts series Saturday, March 2.
Reggie Harris is a singer-songwriter, storyteller and world-renowned song-leader who is a powerful interpreter of the global music narrative. A passionate, engaging inspirational entertainer and concert artist, Reggie is recognized for focusing new energy on the important role of music in the discourse for inclusion and the struggle for human rights using the lessons of history as a base.
Pat Wictor first burst on the folk and acoustic scene as an innovative slide guitarist known for fresh and memorable interpretations of traditional and contemporary songs. Since then, he has made his mark as a singer-songwriter penning lean and poetic songs that honor and extend rural blues and gospel traditions. For seven years he toured as one third of the powerful harmonizing trio Brother Sun, garnering critical acclaim and two #1 CDs on the Folk DJ charts.
The performance will take place at 7:30pm in the handicap-accessible Fellowship Hall of the First Congregational Church of Rockport, 12 School St. Advance tickets are $20 for adults and $5 for those age 18 and under.
