The Art of Moviemaking

Artists have worked behind the scenes in movies for years! In The Art of Moviemaking, led by local artist Bruce Orr, you can be a mural painter, a puppet rigger, and a model builder!

Did you know the old Star Wars movies used paintings as backdrops? Connect with the art of mural painting in film, and learn from veteran painter Bruce Orr how to paint colorful, imaginative landscapes and then use them in a movie!

Stop motion is making a comeback! Learn how to build armatures, sculpt with clay, and basic anatomy to create your own three-dimensional animated character!

Note: The dates are October 1st, 8th, 22nd, 29th, and November 5th. Students should aim to attend all six dates.
