Hip Hop culture has deep roots in Lynn, Massachusetts and the stories from the local Hip Hop community will be highlighted as part of an interactive exhibit and free show commemorating its identity in Lynn. The event will take place on Sunday, September 18th with festivities beginning at 11am at the Lynn Museum where the official opening of the Lynn Hip Hop Exhibit opens to the public.

Click here for more info on the exhibit opening

The festivities continue in the afternoon at Frederick Douglas Park with the Keep Moving Forward Festival from 2-8pm with performances by Lynn Hip Hop artists. Local legends The Tragic Allies will be headlining and performing together for the first time in a decade in the heart of the city they are from, and have contributed greatly to the culture. Co-headlining the show is Keep Moving Forward aka KMF, the Lynn Hip Hop group the festival is named after. KMF has been a prominent group in promoting the Lynn Hip Hop scene.

The festival is free of charge and with a $5 suggested donation for the Lynn Hip Hop Exhibit. A beer garden area powered by the Bent Water Brewing tap truck will be available to 21+ attendees.

The celebration kicks off September 12th with a livestream performance by KMF that will be streamed through the Essex County Community Foundation to promote the September 18th festival and exhibit.
