The Asian Center of Merrimack Valley, Inc. is a multi-service center providing services to the Asian community of Great Lawrence. Our services include ESOL, citizenship and computer classes for adults, a preschool, an elders and a youth group. Case managers provide translation, transportation, advocacy and referral. In the area of the arts, we have published three books edited by a local published author. The books tell the stories of Cambodian and Vietnamese refugees and immigrants living in Lawrence and the stories of Asian teens trying to bridge their native and new cultures. We also have a Cambodian dance troupe that performs for Cambodian holidays and has been invited to perform for other local events.
Our mission is support the efforts of Asian immigrant and refugee families to build stable futures and to become participating members of their new community.
