Chorus North Shore is the oldest community chorus north of Boston and a leading arts organization on the North Shore.
Chorus North Shore traces its beginnings back to 1931, when singers from four choral groups came together to present a Christmas concert at the First Congregational Church in historic Rockport, Massachusetts. Since then, musical life in this charming seaside town — known for its many art galleries and shops — has never been the same.
Called “the premier chorus of its kind north of Boston,” Chorus North Shore has grown in size, talent, and repertoire to become a leading arts organization on the North Shore. Despite its prominence, the chorus still prides itself as being a true community chorus, with open enrollment to all who have a desire to present choral music of the highest caliber.
