By the time I could hold a pencil, I began creating colorful animal portraits with oil pastels (currently one of my favorite mediums). Now I work with oil paints and colored pencils to create vivid works of art. Whether I’m hosting an in-person sketching session or gifting a pet portrait, I find that art allows me to connect with others on a deeply sentimental level.
In high school I formalized my art education as the recipient of a scholarship to the Laguna College of Art and Design. Here I spent my summers in an intensive program building my foundations in drawing.
After high school, I was admitted to the USC Roski School of Art and Design. Torn between my love for painting and writing, I was also admitted to USC Annenberg School of Journalism. In the end I decided to attend Annenberg and I graduated with my Bachelor’s in Journalism in 2019.
Now, thanks to my unique background in Journalism and professional career in the technology industry, I weave storytelling and systems-driven processes into my artwork.
