We are a small house museum, residence of John Greenleaf Whittier for most of his most prolific and active years as a poet, abolitionist and political journalist. We provide tours, research opportunities and seek to provide a historically accurate interpretation of JGW’s life and times. The Whittier Home Association was founded in 1889 to preserve the house, its contents and the memory of John Greenleaf Whittier.
