La Vida, Inc. has been helping Latino immigrant families residing in Lynn, Massachusetts since 1996. In 2001 we started our first after-school program called Youth Enrichment Services (Y.E.S.) to help middle and high school students achieve their fullest potential in their academics and overall well-being. Our bilingual staff coordinate youth programs – Youth Enrichment Services, La Vida Scholars and summer program; and adult programs – citizenship, English as a Second Language and Spanish literacy. All programs address the agency’s mission to serve the spiritual and material well-being of area Latino youth and adults by providing a wide range of programs including college prep, ESL, literacy, citizenship, consular processing and assistance, religious study and cultural and recreational activities. These activities best assist families by helping youth achieve their fullest potential in a safe, positive environment. Our partnership with St. Joseph’s Parish, one of the largest Latino parishes in the state, forms the basis of the community we serve. We have the only extracurricular program in the City of Lynn of its kind. All of La Vida’s programs are integrated to ensure a family-centered approach.
